Mission-Core Values

Our Mission and Core Values

Mission Statement:

In the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Nazareth Living Center participates in the healing mission of Jesus by ministering with compassion and responding creatively to the needs of aging persons. What makes Nazareth truly unique is the practice of the four core values for which the organization stands:

 Sacredness

We are rooted in our belief that all people are
created in the image and likeness of God.
We value human life at all stages.
We respect all faiths and cultures.
We treat all persons equally, justly and compassionately.

Integrity

We are faithful to our mission.
We are honest with the people we serve,
with one another and with ourselves.
We confront challenges with faith and courage.
We are stewards of our resources.

Hospitality

We create a welcoming community of faith.
We open our hearts to all persons without distinction.
We celebrate the spirit that is created by coming
together in gentleness, peace and joy.

Collaboration

We work together with others with like values
to achieve common goals.
We draw upon the giftedness of sponsor, staff,
residents, volunteers and the larger community to
carry out our mission.
We bring together our resources and the
resources of others.
We encourage opportunities for personal and
professional growth through education, communication
and interaction among others and ourselves.
